Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) – 12-Month Contract
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) to provide expert support across a number of projects at various stages of planning, development, and construction. This key role will also include mentoring and supporting internal staff currently undertaking PSDP responsibilities, helping to strengthen and continuously improve safety and design management processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with internal design teams and external contractors to ensure effective design coordination.
* Identify hazards arising from design, technical, organisational, planning, or time-related aspects of projects, and work to eliminate or reduce associated risks.
* Communicate control measures, design assumptions, and residual risks to the PSCS for inclusion in the Safety & Health Plan.
* Coordinate the work of designers to ensure safety compliance.
* Prepare written Safety & Health Plans for projects exceeding statutory thresholds (30 working days / 500 person-days / particular risk).
* Prepare and deliver a comprehensive Safety File upon project completion.
* Provide mentoring and guidance to newly appointed PSDPs within the organisation.
* Lead lessons-learned exercises to drive continuous improvement within the PSDP process.
* Support internal and external PSDP competency evaluations as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Construction or Health & Safety role.
* At least 3 years’ direct experience performing the PSDP role on capital projects.
* Experience in Generation Utility Construction, particularly within Solar, Thermal, or Onshore & Offshore Wind Farm projects.
Contract Details
* Duration: 12 months
* Location: Dublin or Cork (hybrid)
* Rate: €700 per day
* Start Date: Immediate
* Working Model: Hybrid – 1 day per week on-site (subject to review)
