Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily functions including warehousing, fulfilment, and logistics.
2. Ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse environment.
3. Develop and enforce SOPs for goods receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
4. Ensure on-time, accurate, and cost-effective order fulfilment.
5. Maintain control over inventory levels and location accuracy.
6. Manage regular stocktakes, audits, and root cause analysis of variances.
7. Monitor demand patterns to align inventory with sales forecasts.
8. Coordinate supplier deliveries, 3PL operations, returns, and stock transfers.
9. Support the rollout and optimisation of ERP and related systems.
10. Align workflows with operational processes to ensure practical implementation.
11. Enforce operational team compliance with documentation and systems use.
12. Liaise with IT/system leads to address system-related issues.
13. Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure operational readiness.
14. Proactively communicate stock availability, order timelines, and delivery status.
15. Represent operations in planning meetings and interdepartmental discussions.
16. Define and monitor key KPIs such as order accuracy, pick rate, delivery timeliness, inventory accuracy, and cost per order.
17. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise throughput and reduce inefficiencies.
18. Embed a performance-driven culture across the operational team.
19. Explore emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to enhance operations.
20. Lead and support the warehouse and operational staff, ensuring clear expectations and performance alignment.
21. Conduct regular team briefings and one-on-ones.
22. Recruit, train, and develop team members to support business growth.
23. Manage rostering, workload planning, and resource distribution.
24. Actively contribute to overall business strategy as part of the senior leadership team.
25. Translate business goals into operational execution plans.
26. Manage the operations budget including staffing, warehousing, and logistics spend.
27. Report on operational costs, performance metrics, and investment opportunities.
Requirements:
28. Strong operational execution across logistics, warehousing, and fulfilment.
29. High systems literacy, particularly with ERP/inventory platforms (., Intact, NetStock).
30. Proven leadership and team management in a fast-paced environment.
31. Excellent cross-departmental communication and coordination.
32. Commercial awareness and understanding of cost efficiency and ROI.
33. Hands-on mentality with strong problem-solving abilities.

Experience & Qualifications
36. Minimum 5 years in operations, logistics, or supply chain (preferably in wholesale or distribution).
37. Experience in team management and warehouse operations.
38. Demonstrated ability to optimise systems and operational workflows.
39. Solid financial understanding of cost centres and operational efficiency.
40. Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain preferred.
41. Familiarity with AI tools and automation is a distinct advantage.
