Electrical Engineer Position Overview
The Electrical Engineer role at our organization is a key position responsible for delivering engineering excellence on construction projects.
* Responsibilities include engineering activities, coordinating technical design with onsite installation through to successful commissioning, and ensuring the company's vision, mission, and values are upheld.
* Key tasks include complete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in specifications, validate cable sizing, and make recommendations as appropriate.
* Ensure technical assessments are completed as required and resolve technical issues without delay.
* Compile and issue electrical technical submittals, manage submittals through approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment, and complete receipt verification process once equipment is delivered.
* Attend and record regular supply chain meetings to ensure progress is monitored and maintained within the overall construction program.
* Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.
* Review electrical installation with BIM team to ensure design is constructible and there is adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.
* Liaise with design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of plant on site and successful handover.
* Complete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.
* Compile test packs, FTOP's, and O&M's and present for approval.
* Manage specialist vendors during commissioning process to ensure timely completion of their work.
* Undertake client training in line with agreed training plan.
