Vickerstock is partnering with a concrete manufacturing business to fill a Dispatch Manager role on a full-time permanent basis.
About the Role

As the Dispatch Manager, you will coordinate a fleet of tipper and mixer lorries, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries to our customers.
Main Responsibilities
* Schedule and manage daily dispatch operations, including route optimization.
* Issue and maintain accurate delivery dockets, keeping all records up-to-date.
* Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve logistical issues.
* Address challenges such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, and scheduling conflicts.
* Ensure all transportation activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience in logistics, transport management, or dispatch operations (preferably in construction, quarrying, or similar industries).
* Strong time management and organisational skills to keep deliveries running efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills to coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
* A keen problem-solving ability to handle unexpected issues calmly and effectively.
* Experience in paperwork management, including issuing and handling delivery dockets.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
