PurposeThe MES Engineer is responsible for the development, configuration, and support of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This role ensures reliable MES performance to support production operations, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesDesign, author, configure, and maintain MES recipes and workflows to support manufacturing processesPerform system testing, validation support, and troubleshooting of MES-related production issuesCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and Engineering teams to implement system enhancementsExecute and optimize complex SQL queries, including joining tables and filtering data to support reporting and issue resolutionSupport system upgrades, change controls, and documentation in line with regulatory requirementsProvide technical support during audits and inspections where requiredContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reliabilityExperience / Qualifications3+ years' experience working with MES systems (POMSnet or Client-X preferred, but other MES platforms will also be considered)Strong theoretical and/or practical experience with SQL, including complex queries, joins, and data analysisExperience with recipe authoring, system testing, and troubleshooting production issuesKnowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, or similar is advantageousExperience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device or pharmaceutical preferred)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionallyBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline preferred
