Data Engineer (Databricks) A leading enterprise organisation is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a large-scale insurance platform transformation and modern data platform rollout.
Responsibilities: Design and deliver scalable data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and transformation layers aligned to a Databricks-based target data model Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes integrating insurance platforms, legacy systems, and downstream analytics tools Develop APIs and data interfaces to support system integration and data exchange Support dual-run environments during phased platform migration, ensuring data accuracy, reconciliation, and quality Collaborate closely with architects, analysts, delivery partners, and internal SMEs to deliver robust, production-ready data solutions Optimise performance, reliability, and scalability across data workloads Required Experience: Strong SQL and Python development Hands-on Databricks / Lakehouse engineering experience ETL/ELT tooling and cloud-based data services API and integration development experience Exposure to insurance platform data models Experience supporting data reconciliation and validation in parallel-run environments Strong focus on performance optimisation and data quality Applicants must be eligible to work full-time in Ireland without restriction.
