Southside Partnership Dun Laoghaire Rathdown CLG ("Southside Partnership") is a local development company working towards an inclusive and just society, where each person is encouraged and enabled to reach their full potential.
We provide a comprehensive range of supports through employment services, community development, training and social inclusion programmes.
Our Local Area Employment Service (LAES), funded by the Department of Social Protection, supports unemployed individuals to re-enter the workforce. Clients are referred through Intreo offices, and we provide one-to-one career guidance, employment advice and job coaching to help them progress into work, training or education.
The Role:
We are seeking a Case Officer (also known as Employment Advisor / Job Coach / Career Coach) to support long-term unemployed clients in the Dun Laoghaire–Rathdown area.
The Case Officer will:
* Provide employment guidance, job coaching and client support to individuals facing barriers to work.
* Develop personalised action plans to support return to employment, training, or education.
* Deliver practical job search support, including CV preparation, interview skills, and confidence building.
* Liaise with employers, training providers (ETB, Solas), and community organisations to create opportunities for clients.
* Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring progress against KPIs, accurate reporting, and compliance with quality standards.
Contract: Full-time (35 hrs/week), 12 months fixed-term, extension subject to funding.
Salary: €30,931 – €47,514 DOE.
Location: Offices in Dun Laoghaire, Ballyogan, Dundrum, Ballinteer.
Reports to: LAES Manager.
Probation: 6 months.
About You
We would like to hear from you if you have:
* A relevant qualification in guidance, counselling, social work, community development, or employment services (Level 7 or higher, or working towards accreditation).
* At least 3 years' experience in employment services, career guidance, counselling, job coaching, or related roles.
* Experience supporting people facing barriers to work (long-term unemployed, vulnerable groups).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate clients.
* Excellent organisational skills, including caseload management, reporting, and use of IT systems.
* Commitment to social inclusion, community engagement, and positive social impact.
* A full clean driving licence and access to transport desirable.
