A Building Services Engineer is required to support the delivery of mechanical and electrical services across live residential developments in South Dublin. This role will suit an engineer with a
mechanical bias
, although candidates with a strong
electrical background
will also be considered.
The successful candidate will work closely with project, site, and commercial teams to ensure M&E services are coordinated, installed, and commissioned in line with design, programme, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the coordination and delivery of M&E services on site
• Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors, and site management teams
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
• Monitor installation quality and progress against programme
• Assist with inspections, testing, commissioning, and snag closure
• Support issue resolution relating to M&E design or installation
• Ensure compliance with project standards and statutory requirements
Skills and Experience
• Degree or trade-based background in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services
• Mechanical bias preferred, electrical background also acceptable
• Experience working on residential or commercial construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and specifications
• Strong communication skills and a practical, site-focused approach
