Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Scientist within UCD School of Civil Engineering.
HarNesS project is funded by the Science Foundation Ireland - Frontiers for the Future programme. HarNesS aims to develop an integrated crowdsourcing platform that retrieves multi-fidelity data from smartphone sensors to interpret bridge infrastructure vibrations. The successful candidates will work with a diverse list of partners to develop the analytical foundations of a crowdsourcing-based structural health monitoring platform that handles large and heterogeneous vibration datasets collected in an uncontrolled manner.
We seek a research scientist with experience in infrastructure decision support systems, mobile sensing technologies, stakeholder modelling, and citizen science.
This position is centered on research, involving the execution of a defined research program with support through training and development, all under the guidance of a Principal Investigator.
Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
