Junior Mechanical Engineer (Cavan) onsite
This client is a fast growing manufacturing and engineering firm of complex equipment for international markets and now have a position for a Mechanical Design Engineer to help drive the business forward, to deliver customer and company expectations to the highest standards in a controlled and professional manner. The role is to design their electrical machinery product to customer specifications. Both electrical and mechanical design is carried out on-site. This is an excellent opportunity that will report directly to the Head of Design but will require the successful candidate to work closely with departments across the business.
* Preparation of specs, drawings and technical details for customers.
* Direction and co-ordination of prototypes manufacture.
* Liaison with R&D to improve efficiencies
* Optimising design to the customer specification.
* Preparation of instructions and drawings for use on the factory floor.
* Preparation, control and updating technical specifications
* Working with production to ensure design specifications are achieved
Requirements:
* Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
* Over 1 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering and using design packages such as CREO etc
* Preferable experience in a manufacturing environment/manufacturing best practice
* Experience with internal standards and quality conformance metrics
* Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
* Full clean driving license preferable.
€40-45k DOE and package as well as further training and development
The role is onsite 5 days a week in Cavan and to travel for business.
