Post ID: 038368 Post status: Specific Purpose Contract To contribute to teach and coordinate modules on the two year MSc in Diagnostic Radiography programme and also the MSc in Medical Imaging, as well as to contribute research and administrative activities in the School. Hours of Post: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements. For further information please follow the link below: Salary: This appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor Salary Scale (€42,500 - €101,541 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. ( Post Summary: The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to teach and coordinate modules on the two-year MSc in Diagnostic Radiography programme, which had its first intake of students in September 2019. The successful candidate will also be required to teach modules on the MSc in Medical Imaging programme, as well as to contribute research and administrative activities in the School. Context The school requires a candidate to support and lead cutting edge research, to aid the development of curricula, advanced practice and support relationships with new and existing services provider partners. The successful candidate will have a PhD or other relevant postgraduate qualification in diagnostic radiography and an undergraduate qualification in diagnostic radiography. Diagnostic radiography is within the Discipline of Clinical Medicine, based at the Trinity Centre for Health Sciences at St Jamess Hospital. Main Responsibilities Standard Duties and Responsibilities of the Post Co-ordination of the delivery of modules of the MSc in Diagnostic Radiography programme Teaching duties on the postgraduate Diagnostic Radiography programmes at Trinity College Dublin Supervision of postgraduate research students Coordination of annual examination of modules and examination board meetings Involvement in the admission processes of students to the MSc in Diagnostic Radiography Prepare relevant documentation for quality review procedures of the postgraduate diagnostic radiography programme for professional accreditation and Trinity College Dublin academic review Undertake appropriate administrative/managerial activities and tasks that support the Diagnostic Radiography programmes and the wider Trinity community How to apply: A comprehensive curriculum vitae, including a full list of publications The names and contact details (i.e. addresses, e-mail, etc.) of three referees A research plan (summarising research to be carried out in the next two years and including details of funding to be sought - 2 pages) and a teaching statement (summarising teaching experience and approach 2 pages) PLEASE NOTE: Candidates who do not submit this additional information may not be considered for shortlisting Note: Candidates who do not address the application requirements above in their cover letter will not be considered at the short list stage.
