Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Job Description:
Our Finance department is a dynamic working environment that plays a pivotal role in the business. We are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team.
This is a full-time permanent role based between our offices, with flexible working hours available. An excellent salary and benefits package is available for the successful candidate.
About the Role:
Supporting the finance department and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks, including:
* Bank reconciliations
* Preparation and posting of journals
* Intercompany Reconciliations
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* P&L analysis
* Sales ledger; sundry and contract sales
* Oversight of purchase ledger and giving support where necessary during busy periods
Responsibilities:
Assistance and support during internal audits, liaising with auditors as required.
Annual budgets, forecasting and variance analysis.
Work with departments to ensure systems are operating effectively.
Customs and TSS declarations.
VAT and Intrastat Preparation.
Assist Senior business managers with financial decision making.
Prepare financial reports.
Developing and overseeing financial systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvements.
Business partnering to support business leaders, identifying risk and opportunity.
Requirements:
Part Qualified or at least 2 years in a finance environment.
3 A-Levels, Grade A* - C, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Navision, COINS and Asset Tagz useful.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office, in particular MS Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong reporting skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work to strict deadlines and planning/prioritising work-load.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
Able to demonstrate initiative and problem solving.
A self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
