A manager role has become available in our Global Response Operations Detection team. This team is responsible for identifying emerging on-platform issues that pose harm to individuals, communities, and businesses. Your key responsibilities will include managing a team of detection analysts, developing signals for detection, running advanced content and behavioral investigations, and driving prioritized enforcement.
About the Team
Our team is part of the Global Operations organization, which responds to real-time crises and proactively identifies and evaluates emerging issues. We conduct risk-related investigations and assess what we can do to best benefit our community. By understanding and consistently managing events and real-time crises to resolution, we drive continuous improvement with our partners across Meta.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of detection analysts to drive and execute detection strategy across our prioritized problems.
* Build lasting, collaborative cross-functional relationships with Global Risk Operations, Broader Global Operations teams, Product, Policy, Legal, Global Response among others.
* Participate in team and organization strategy building to ensure agility in the team to help meet the changing needs of the team, company, and community, while driving stability in the team to achieve the long-term vision.
* Identify and initiate new opportunities for new projects or focus areas for both GRO and the detection team, as well as innovate collaboratively on solutions.
* Develop an ongoing understanding of the company-wide detection ecosystem to partner with and influence stakeholders to help solve the highest priority issues for Meta and its communities.
* Attract, build, manage, and develop a talented team with a broad range of skills, experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds.
* Work with potentially graphic and objectionable content.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in operations, intelligence, Trust & Safety, project management, building out technology solutions or related functions.
* 5+ years of people management experience.
* Experience prioritizing and ensuring that key initiatives move forward, managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders, and working with urgency.
* Executive presence and effective communication skills.
* Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience.
* Demonstrated skill to work in ambiguous environments and create solutions to complex problems.
* A proven team player adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and with experience building new teams.
* Experience communicating complex or technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Proven leader managing remote and distributed teams with experience growing new teams.
