* Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
* Implement and maintain safety and compliance standards across all plant activities.
* Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to achieve operational goals.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production processes and outcomes.
* Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.
* Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained and upgraded as required.
* Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
Profile
A successful Plant Manager should have:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
* Proven experience in managing plant operations within the engineering and manufacturing department. (Clinical waste handling advantageous)
* Strong knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to analyse operational data and implement strategic improvements.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
