Role Overview
They are seeking an experienced Site Architect to oversee a large-scale project in Galway. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role. The Site Architect will collaborate closely with the Project Architectural Team and Client Representatives to ensure works are executed according to the Works Requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Project Architectural Team by ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including conducting daily site inspections and recording project status, issues, and quality standards.
2. Act as the primary contact for the client's site representatives, maintaining professional relationships and effectively communicating project progress, challenges, and solutions.
3. Monitor project progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and help resolve on-site issues promptly.
4. Collaborate with the design team, including civil, structural, M&E engineers, and landscape architects, to deliver integrated solutions.
5. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Ensure all construction activities comply with Works Requirements, building regulations, standards, and environmental standards.
7. Prepare monthly reports for inclusion in the Lead Architect’s monthly report.
8. Record all site inspections promptly and review remedial actions taken by contractors and their representatives.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have experience monitoring and managing the design process on active construction sites, coordinating with multiple contractors and clients. A degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Structural Engineering is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach, are essential.
