Role Overview
BoyleSports is on a mission to shake up the betting and gaming landscape. With 300+ stores and a fast-growing digital presence, we’re building a bold, ambitious brand, and we need a Senior Copywriter who can help us find a voice worth listening to.
As Senior Copywriter, you’ll be that voice for BoyleSports. From big brand campaigns and ads to product, promotions, and social, you’ll craft copy that captures attention, drives action and builds brand love.
You’ll sit at the heart of the Brand team, working across the business to bring our tone of voice to life, and make sure we show up consistently, creatively, and with personality. You’ll help guide creative direction, support the wider marketing team, and collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and channel experts to make great ideas happen.
This is a key creative role in a growing brand team, one with the space to challenge, create, and define how BoyleSports speaks.
What you’ll be responsible for:
* Owning the BoyleSports tone of voice and ensuring it’s applied consistently across all touchpoints; ATL, digital, social, sponsorship, product and beyond.
* Writing brilliant copy for campaigns, creative briefs, web content, CRM, UX, social, and more; always clear, concise, and on-brand.
* Turning strategy into storytelling – collaborating with the Brand, Social, Content, UX and Sponsorship teams to make our brand voice work harder, smarter, and louder.
* Supporting big moments – from football weekends and race days to new launches and fast-moving events. You’ll help shape the narrative in real time.
* Collaborating across the business, working with teams in trading, retail, e-channels and customer service to make sure our words land wherever our brand shows up.
* Helping us get better – evolving our style guides and copy processes, and sharing your craft with others.
* Bringing energy and challenger thinking to every brief. We want someone who isn’t afraid to do things differently.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years writing sharp, audience-first copy, ideally in sports, betting, gaming or fast-moving consumer brands.
* Someone who knows how to write like a human, not a chatbot.
* A collaborative team player who’s as comfortable writing a campaign line as they are a UX message.
* Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects with tight turnarounds.
* Confidence in creative ideation, and the ability to bring a strategic lens to storytelling.
* Experience editing, refining and presenting your work to others.
* Passion for sport and gaming – or at least a healthy curiosity and willingness to learn the ropes.
Bonus Points For
* Experience with NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) or persuasive copywriting frameworks.
* A pulse on how other brands (especially competitors) are communicating – and ideas for how we can do it better.
* Familiarity with SEO, UX writing and content performance metrics.
