Social network you want to login/join with:We’re working with a leading Tier 1 Contractor in their search for an experienced Site Manager to join an upcoming project in Cork.Key Responsibilities as Construction Site ManagerPositively and actively drive towards an embedded HS&E culture, creating a continually progressive environment that emphasizes safety as our number one core value.Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.Support all aspects of Project Team functions, including PEP, Risk & Commercial Success, Financials, Processes, HSEQS, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management, and Project Close Out.Support the Project Execution Plan, with specific reference to the HSE & Quality plan.Prepare contract reports and, with the QS, provide updates for monthly cost meetings.Plan, organize, and direct activities related to the construction of structures, facilities, and systems.Develop project plans and schedules, and execute them to achieve desired outcomes.Coordinate project activities according to the company’s Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures, and Engineering Specifications.Meet objectives related to timely delivery, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.Maintain a ‘right first time’ philosophy throughout the project lifecycle.Attend regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, and keep them informed of progress.Oversee quality management and BCAR coordination, ensuring quality control and safety compliance on site.Handle technical queries and interface with clients, consultants, and architects regarding RFIs.Qualifications/Experience:Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Construction Management).Experience preferably within a main or specialist contractor.Deep knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.Proficient with MS Office, project management, or similar scheduling software.Strong understanding of safety and quality management.Ability to lead confidently, mentor, and motivate staff.
