Our client, a leader in food production in Kildare, is seeking an Electrician Technician to join their engineering team.
This is a fully automated, clean production facility operating on rotating day/evening shifts, offering excellent career growth and training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Deliver reactive and planned maintenance across the site to keep production running smoothly.
Install, commission, and troubleshoot plant and equipment.
Perform basic programming and diagnostics on machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot using PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider).
Contribute to maximising uptime and minimising downtime across production and utility systems.
Execute preventive maintenance programs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, GMP, and LOTO procedures.
What We're Looking For Time-served Electrician or a third-level Electrical Engineering qualification.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role, both reactive and planned.
Strong knowledge of motor control systems, pneumatics, process temperature controls, and PLC/PC control systems.
Experience with CMMS systems and troubleshooting PLCs.
Understanding of food safety standards (BRC, ISO).
Hands-on problem solver with strong communication skills.
Flexible to work rotating day and evening shifts and participate in the on-call rota.
