About the Role:
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring creativity, excellent organisational skills, and a strong commitment to quality and consistency. You’ll lead a dynamic kitchen team and play a key role in delivering a high-quality food offering to a busy and loyal customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations
* Design and update menus in line with seasonal and customer trends
* Ensure food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards are consistently high
* Manage food cost, stock control, and waste reduction
* Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff
* Maintain compliance with HACCP and all health & safety regulations
* Work closely with management on menu planning and business strategy
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role
* Manual Handling and Food Safety Level 2
* Strong background in high-volume kitchens
* Passion for quality food and a flair for modern Irish and international cuisine
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Strong understanding of food costings and kitchen financials
* HACCP certified with strong knowledge of health and safety practices
