Position Summary
This is a key role, supervising a team of Operators within the Tullamore 1 and Tullamore 3 EO sites. It includes day-to-day oversight of departmental goals for Safety, Quality, Customer demands, and Operational Effectiveness. The supervisor will train and develop team members, ensuring work instructions are followed and updated in line with global, local, and Customer requirements, in conjunction with Operations Management. The role is responsible for frontline site safety and maximizing plant uptime to ensure Customer Satisfaction, cash flow, and site targets are achieved, while maintaining strict adherence to site Quality and Compliance standards. The supervisor will lead and develop site teams through daily process reviews and shift handovers.

Duties
Safety
1. Conduct daily inspections of site conditions and observe staff to ensure safe practices.
2. Maintain strict adherence to site security standards.
3. Ensure PPE standards are maintained and available.
4. Participate actively in all plant risk assessments.
5. Drive and monitor 5S standards throughout the site.
6. Complete 5S audits timely and escalate issues as needed.
7. Log unsafe acts/conditions and safety observations.
8. Execute safety investigations as required.
Quality
1. Report process deviations, quarantine products, and investigate promptly.
2. Ensure batch records are completed according to Work Instructions and GMP requirements before transfer to Quality.
3. Maintain and improve site Quality standards.
4. Ensure Process Controls are followed as per Work Instructions.
Cost
1. Review and monitor plant downtime and schedule adherence, suggesting improvements.
2. Escalate operational downtime or schedule non-adherence.
3. Manage consumable stock, including replenishment and stock takes.
Delivery
1. Ensure product processing aligns with Customer expectations and CSP parameters.
2. Maintain segregation and storage requirements for all products.
KPIs
1. Oversee SQDC measures and report target dates.
2. Monitor and communicate schedule adherence.
3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Drive and oversee 5S audit actions.
5. Participate in process mapping and gemba walks.
People
1. Motivate and develop team members, maintaining standards and minimizing overtime.
2. Create development plans, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews.
3. Foster a proactive culture aligned with company values.
4. Manage performance reviews, succession planning, and objectives.
5. Monitor break times, holidays, and sickness to ensure adequate coverage.
6. Handle staffing, disciplinary actions, and other management tasks.
Education Degree
Vocational/Technical
Required Experience
1. Operational experience in a production or plant environment.
2. Leadership experience in manufacturing.
3. Ability to train, develop, and mentor staff.
4. Experience with performance improvement and KPIs.
5. Knowledge of continuous process improvement techniques.
6. Technical or supervisory qualification (advantage).
7. Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
8. Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office.
