Job Description – ForemanCompany: Provincial SprinklersLocation: CorkEmployment Type: Full-TimeReports To: Project Manager / Contracts ManagerOverviewProvincial Sprinklers is seeking an experienced and highly organised Foreman to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. The Foreman will play a key leadership role on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Leadership & SupervisionLead and coordinate daily work activities of sprinkler fitters and apprentices.Ensure all installation works comply with company standards.Act as the main point of contact for site queries relating to sprinkler installation.Project DeliveryPlan daily and weekly tasks based on project schedules and material deliveries.Work closely with the Project Manager to track progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are available and maintained.Quality & ComplianceCarry out inspections to ensure workmanship meets regulatory and client requirements.Document and report any installation issues and assist with solutions.Support commissioning activities, flushing, pressure testing, and final sign-off.Health & SafetyPromote and enforce a strong safety culture across all site teams.Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and permit-to-work checks.Ensure compliance with all company and site-specific safety procedures.Communication & CoordinationLiaise with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives.Attend site coordination meetings and provide updates on progress and resource needs.Communicate clearly with the project team regarding issues, changes, or risks.RequirementsEssential5+ years' experience in fire sprinkler installation, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications.Proven track record of managing teams and subcontractors on-site.Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.Full clean driver's licence.DesirableApprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical/Fire Protection Systems.Certification in Fire Sprinkler Installation (IFC, LPCB, or equivalent).Experience working on Irish construction sites with familiarity with CIF safety requirements.Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, MEWP, and other site tickets.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for training, certification, and career progression.Supportive and established team within a growing fire protection company.Work on high-profile projects across Cork and Munster.
