Job Title: Mechanical Automation Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Automation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of complex mechanical systems.
* Install and commission new plant and machinery, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime
* Maintain and repair existing equipment, identifying and rectifying faults efficiently
* Fabricate and replace parts as needed, using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders
You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Key Skills:
* Precision turning and advanced milling techniques
* Coded welding, CNC machining and programming
* CAD and CAM design software
* Hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics

Requirements:
* A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical automation principles and practices
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
