Offer description

Part-Time Personal & Business Assistant

Remote-first (Ireland) | Occasional on-site | 2–3 days per week

Read this first

I run multiple businesses and property projects and I'm in the middle of tightening systems, admin, and follow-through. I work well to deadlines and external accountability, but I'm not naturally strong on background admin, email, paperwork, or long-term follow-ups.

This role exists to bring structure, momentum, and calm — and to push me when needed.

If you're passive, overly corporate, or need constant instruction, this won't suit you.

If you're confident, organised, practical, and comfortable chasing things down, it probably will.

What you'll actually be doing

This is a hands-on, real-world role:

* Organising and digitising paperwork across several businesses
* Running a central iCloud Drive filing system (receipts, invoices, documents)
* Supporting the implementation and maintenance of Xero
* Tracking payments, follow-ups, deadlines, and loose ends
* Managing calendars, bookings, and reminders
* Acting as a point of organisation between me and accountants, solicitors, and contractors
* Aggregating missed emails and admin into clear actions
* Chasing people (including me) to close loops
* Flagging problems early and clearly

You'll be trusted to use judgement, not wait for step-by-step instructions.

How we'll work together

* Direct communication
* WhatsApp or phone calls preferred
* Short, clear messages over long emails
* Black-and-white updates
* You're encouraged to say: "I need you for 10 minutes to clear decisions."
* You're expected to follow things through and escalate when needed

The kind of person this suits

* Confident, proactive, and organised
* Comfortable with tech (Apple ecosystem, iCloud, scanning, Xero)
* Happy implementing systems rather than inheriting perfect ones
* Calm under pressure
* Trustworthy and discreet
* Clear written and spoken English
* Slightly bossy (in a good way), with humour and backbone

Experience matters more than titles. This likely suits an experienced professional working part-time by choice.

What this role is not

* Not junior
* Not passive
* Not corporate
* Not micromanaged
* Not fully remote forever

Hours & pay

* 2–3 days per week, flexible
* €20–30 per hour, depending on experience
* 2-week paid trial before committing long-term

How to apply (important)

Please submit:

* Your CV
* A short note explaining why this role suits you
* Answers to the screening questions below

Applications without answers to the questions will not be considered.

Why this role exists

To reduce mental load, close loops, and keep things moving — so I can focus on decisions, growth, and building something meaningful.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €20.00-€30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week

Benefits:

* Bike to work scheme
* Employee discount
* Store discount

Application question(s):

* I'm busy and sometimes slow to respond unless something is urgent. How would you make sure important but non-urgent things don't drift?
* What tools or systems have you used to keep admin, paperwork, or finances organised?
* This role involves chasing, prioritising, and occasionally pushing. What about that appeals to you — and what doesn't?
