Team Leader – Permanent Full Time
Applications are invited for the positions of Team Leader in Value Centre Mullingar on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will provide support to the Cash & Carry Management Team to ensure the Value Centre operates in a professional, compliant, and profitable manner.
Key responsibilities of a Team Leader include:
* Providing support in the absence of the Cash & Carry Manager/Assistant Manager, and to carry out any duties as required (including key holding responsibilities).
* Communicate effectively with customers & staff ensuring queries are resolved efficiently & effectively.
* The supervision, mentoring and training of new & existing staff.
* Assisting and growing customer sales.
* Attention to detail in all aspects – ensuring accurate, professional and speedy processing of customers' orders.
* Ensuring compliance with the Wholesale Standards Programme
* Working in conjunction with Management in relation to effective replenishment and stock control in line with company procedures, whilst also ensuring stock availability to meet customer needs
* Working in conjunction with Cash & Carry Management to ensure the branch is prepared for Quarter End activities
* Ensuring security of Cash & Carry is maintained, protecting employees and stock
* Ensuring the effective supervision of employees in the Value Centre, as directed
* Contribute to the operation of the branch in a customer focused/friendly manner
* Minimising expenditure and, where appropriate, assist with the management of overheads
* To undertake any other activities as required in line with operational demands.
The successful Team Leader will:
* Be a highly motivated self-starter
* Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and suppliers in a professional manner
* Have experience in a customer-facing role
* Have experience of the licensed and/or grocery, catering trade
* Have the ability to contribute to the management of day-to-day floor operation of the Cash & Carry, including staff, stock control, deliveries & merchandising
* Be flexible with start / finish times and ensure operational demands are facilitated.
* Have some understanding of HACCP
* Experience in the Chill/Frozen sector is an advantage.
