Spar Area Manager
Job Summary:
* This role involves overseeing the management of multiple stores, focusing on leadership, development, motivation, and supervision of employees.
Main Responsibilities:
* To provide overall leadership and supervision to the team of employees across multiple stores.
* To regularly travel to each store, conducting scored visit audits to ensure consistency and quality.
* To supervise and investigate cleaning services, ensuring they meet high standards.
* To maintain health and safety standards on store sites.
* To control and monitor the use of technology, machinery, and cleaning materials in stores/on site.
* To conduct stock checks as required.
* To liaise with HR promptly, maintaining open communication and integrity.
* To adhere to HACCP principles, procedures, and guidelines to ensure food produce is safe.
* To promote awareness of company policies, procedures, and health and safety practices, ensuring employees have necessary training and understanding.
* To develop business, assist store managers in building local relationships, and assist in developing a Local Store Marketing (LSM) plan for each store.
* To take the lead in planning people development, recruitment, selection, training, and succession planning for future expansion.
* To oversee employee relations and customer complaints that may impact the business, taking necessary action to minimize effect.
Your Profile:
* A proven area manager with progressive management experience and multi-site experience within retail - a minimum of 2 years experience is required.
* Strong financial acumen is essential for this position.
* Able to think strategically and operationally.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Possess business acumen gained through work experience or a business degree.
* Demonstrable record of achievement working in a customer-focused, standards-driven organisation.
* Ambitious with career progression to date.
* Communicates store goals and motivating vision; links individual store management performance to achieving store goals.
* Provides clear direction and authority, assertive when required.
* Regularly coaches management to drive results, displays professionalism.
