OverviewYour core task here is to be the leading voice for the data & AI function and to essentially be the main go between and business partner for the data function to engage with the rest of the bank.This means going out into the business to evangelise what the data function does. This is a balance of being out there in meetings - identifying opportunities where the data function can add value, but at the same time articulating the limits of what can realistically be delivered.In short, you'retaking the 'big ideas' of the business and translating them into achievable outcomesand while also being clear about constraintsThe easiest to lay out how your broader role will interact with these data initiatives is to break it down into 'Strategic' and 'BAU'.In the 'Strategic' category, your chief goal is on the data strategy side.There is an existing strategy in place – your piece is to evolve and update that as needed. For example, this bank is currently in a phase of preparing to build the architecture and general organisational structures for a wave of AI and modern data initiatives.As that evolves the plan will require tweaking - what's working, what parts of the approach need to be changed, and is everything keeping in alignment with business goals?This equates to yourunning the strategic planning process every yearto determine the major data initiatives that the bank will deliver.Going beyond that, it's not just creating the strategy in isolation but also getting involved at a more granular level.Your task is to understand the underlying business needs, build a program of work that is addressing them and to make sure the data function is involved early in those conversations – and that you're the first port of call for business areas looking to partner with the data function on solutions.Moving to your BAU piece. As they are being delivered a big part of your role is thendemonstrating the ROI on these data or AI initiatives. Is business value being delivered and leading on from that how are we measuring it?This is about what the data function has delivered and the impact that has had – so speaking to the right people in the bank in showcasing delivery and value.Also, there is an element of overseeing the whole portfolio of works – your role is to have a birds-eye view on delivery.There is a team of project and delivery managers so your piece is more an element ofprogram management that everything is well organised, clearly surfaced- making sure we're generally on top of any issues cropping up and where everything's at.Key DeliverablesFacilitate intake, discovery assessment and project management of data change initiatives.Translate business needs into data product and analytics use cases and detailed requirements.Lead cross functional teams across Business Partnering, Business Analysis, Project Management, Demand & Prioritisation, Strategy Development & Risk Management.Drive the identification and prioritisation of AI & Analytics use cases .Guide the programme and delivery management of the strategic and local change portfolio to deliver business impact on time and within budget.Your BackgroundExperience in a Data Analytics/Data Science or a relevant area, ideally in a leadership/management role.Experience developing and delivering Analytics or Strategies.Ideally from a Financial ServicesHybrid Model2 days per week in the office
