Job Description

In this role, you are a key ambassador for the hotel and the brand, creating a powerful first impression for our guests. You should have a friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine interest in meeting and caring for guests from around the world. Your responsibilities include providing information, representing the hotel, and guest relations, all with politeness, efficiency, and friendliness. You will monitor daily guest arrivals, ensure reservations are honored, requests fulfilled, and expectations met. Staying updated on hotel products, services, and facilities—such as room types, rates, food and beverage outlets, promotions, spa, and health club offerings—is essential. You must ensure compliance with all brand standards and Front Office Standard Operating Procedures, and strive to provide guests with a positive, memorable experience.

Qualifications

* Must currently have the right to work in Ireland / EU
* Previous experience in Front Office or Guest Services in a five-star hotel
* Excellent English communication skills
* Experience with Front Office Systems
* Good English skills, both written and spoken

Additional Information

* Ensure the hotel achieves the Leading Hotels of the World Quality Assurance targets and maintains high standards of luxury and quality for guests.
* Understand and align with the Hotel’s Vision & Mission statements communicated to the team.
* Maintain cleanliness and adhere to cleaning checklists in designated areas.
* Report defective materials and equipment to the appropriate departments.
* Control ambience elements (lights, music, temperature) within the hotel.
* Remain vigilant throughout the hotel to promote security.
* Possess strong product knowledge of all hotel areas.
* Maintain flexibility in work schedules to ensure uninterrupted guest service and support other hotel areas as needed.
* Comply with the hotel’s cash handling procedures.

People

* Attend appraisal reviews when requested by the Head of Department
* Understand and comply with the hotel’s employee handbook
* Attend departmental daily briefings and monthly meetings/General Team Meetings, ECCM when required
* Adhere to the hotel’s grooming procedures
* Clock in and out at the start and end of each shift and for breaks, informing your manager if you do not receive your break entitlement

Specific Duties

* Perform all duties according to departmental Standards Manual (Leading Quality Assurance)
* Provide effective communication within the hotel, handling all telephone and email inquiries professionally and courteously
* Stay informed about menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions, and specials
* Be knowledgeable about new products and hotel offerings
* Carry out cleaning as required
* Liaise with other departments to ensure guest requests are attended to efficiently
