About the Role
">
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of troubleshooting complex machine faults and resolving issues through effective monitoring and evaluation/analysis of processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
">
">
1. Take ownership and responsibility for the technical performance/reliability of equipment to target zero downtime in your area relating to equipment faults, through proactive equipment management.
">
2. A continuous improvement mindset is a must and always working towards this goal in a structured manner.
">
3. Constantly evaluate equipment and process inputs/outputs to ensure optimal visual and functional product performance and take action before it impacts on uptime or yield.
">
4. Complete PM's on time and offer improvements when found deficient, to ensure optimal equipment performance at all times.
">
5. Identify requirements for jigs/fixtures to improve workstation efficiency or yield improvement and carry through into manufacturing through the approval process, with supporting data on the potential gains to be achieved.
">
6. Ensure tooling including mandrels/trim fixtures etc. are available to the line when required and are in optimal working order and fit for purpose.
">
7. Ensure and maintain a sufficient Kanban and robust process for consumable equipment spares to minimise downtime.
">
8. Support on-boarding of new technician hires when required.
">
9. Be fully competent in manufacturing product through all worksteps and in identifying Accept and Reject samples for all steps. Understand the intended use of product and the impact of defects to functionality of product. Perform functional testing of product where required.

10. Continually review the manufacturing process for improper application of work methods and equipment settings.
">
11. Communicate promptly, clearly and effectively at all times, to the Line Lead and Line Support Technician with regard to equipment and process issues with a clear plan for resolution that is data driven.
">
12. Support for equipment introduction and completing and maintaining accurate up-to-date documentation.
">

13. Requirements
">
">
14. Level 6 or above in Engineering or equivalent (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering).
">
15. Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical role in a similar field is required, demonstrated experience with automated equipment maintenance is an advantage.
">
16. Ability to troubleshoot complex machine faults through experience with electrical and pneumatic systems and resolve these issues.
">
17. Highly motivated with good initiative and strong work ethic.
">
18. Demonstrated process and continuous improvement mindset.

19. Excellent time management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

20. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
