Job Title: Financial Operations Director
Financial Operations Director required for a 3-month contract with the option to extend. The successful candidate will oversee financial activities, manage budgets and forecast future expenditure.
* Manage payroll, procurement and accounts payable processes.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting and risk management.
* Prepare financial reports and statements, including cash flow projections.
* Collaborate with senior managers to achieve organisational objectives.
Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Finance Manager or Head of Finance in a large business.
* BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field, or HNC in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
* Proficiency in accounting software, such as Sage or Xero.
* Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
* Ability to hold a full driving licence and/or have access to transport.
Responsibilities:

* Preparing financial reports and statements.
* Managing budgets and authorising payments.
* Forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.
* Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets and accounts.
* Operating the PAYE system within the organisation for a team of 25+ staff.

Fundamental Skills & Qualifications
The key responsibilities include, but not limited to;
1. Preparation of financial reports and management of all financial activities, including payroll and the procurement process.
2. Management of budgets and authorising payments in line with Organisational Financial Policies and Procedures and Funding requirements.
3. Forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.
4. Collation, preparation and interpretation of reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements.
5. Operate the PAYE system within organisation for a team of 25+ staff.
6. Work collaboratively with the Organisation's Accountants.
7. Conducting financial Risk Management and reporting of this to Office Manager and Director.
8. Assist all teams with updating funding Monitoring and Evaluation Financial data for reporting.
9. Responding to financial requests and audits as appropriate.
10. Have oversight for Assets Registers Oversight for Petty cash and Donation's book and holding of organisation monies.
11. Management of Gift Aid and process through Volunteer team.
12. Reporting to, and participation at the monthly Finance Sub-Committee Meeting.
13. Preparation of documentation for funding Verification visits.
14. Updating claim sheets in collaboration with the Finance Administration Officer.
15. Participation in staff inductions with regards to finances, training and supporting staff in financial practises, including following procurement guidelines and relevant paperwork.
16. Liaise with Companies House and other official bodies ensuring relevant returns are submitted.
17. Liaising with Senior Management Team and other colleagues.
