TJ O' Mahony, Ballymount, Ballymount Retail Centre, Ballymount, Dublin 24, D24 X39K part of HPC Sales Ltd., Irelands' leading Building Materials Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a full-time, Permanent, Store Manager to join our Team.Job Purpose: Managing the day-to-day operations of the Store, including sales, inventory, customer service and staff management.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensuring that retail products on display are properly displayed and presented, priced and labelled to the highest retail standards.Responsibility for ensuring that stock is replenished with shelves always full with a wide array of quality DIY and building products.Merchandising: making sure stock is available. Carrying out a Ready for Business walk through every morning.Managing the sales floor and providing maximum profitability.Achieving sales targets.Stock management and daily monitoring of stock including prevention of selling into negative stock.Cash Management: ensuring cash management is completed according to Company procedure at close of every business day, and any anomalies identified and rectified. Ensuring the bank lodgement is ready for collection.Daily Credit Note monitoring and management.Ensuring the shop floor and showroom area is both clean and safe for employees and customers.Monitor the day to day running of the shop including operatives/staff/procedures, developing a routine for opening and closing.Working with Suppliers, ensuring suitable stock, promotions displays, breakfast mornings, etc.Setting and monitoring of agreed margin targets.Ensuring phones are answered promptly and professionally.Staff management, performance and training.Organising of staff rosters, including managing of sickness absence, leave and holidays.Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and security measures.Health & Safety: implementing Health and Safety checks and reporting of any accidents/incidents to the Health and Safety Manager and HR Department.
