Senior Financial Accountant Role
The Senior Financial Accountant plays a pivotal role in the financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and support for strategic financial planning.
Collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders is essential. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the day-to-day operations of the finance function
* Prepare monthly financial reports, including management accounts, activity reports, and performance metrics
* Support the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors
* Manage cash flow forecasting, banking and treasury functions
* Review and enhance internal financial controls and procedures
* Collaborate with ICT on finance system upgrades and implementations
* Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
* Contribute to risk management and quality assurance frameworks
Person Specification:
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent is required. A minimum of 3 to 4 years' experience in a similar role is necessary. Strong proficiency in financial systems and MS Excel is essential. Previous experience in Public Sector is highly advantageous.
