Responsibilities
1. Assist the Executive Head Chef & Sous Chef through excellent communication in developing the kitchen team and the product offered.
2. Manage each section of the kitchen to a high standard when required.
3. Prepare dishes for service from start to finish as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
4. Ensure mise en place is ready for service and appropriate for forecasted business levels.
5. Keep work areas clean and tidy, and ensure all mise en place is up to date.
6. Maintain consistent food standards during service, ensuring menu items are presented as requested with uniform quality and quantity.
7. Implement measures for food deliveries.
8. Communicate effectively with team members and liaise with other departments to ensure tasks are completed as planned.
9. Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment through regular cleaning and adherence to Food Safety Standards.
10. Ensure food presentation complies with standards set by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
11. Manage guest requests efficiently and promptly.
12. Assist in menu compilation and possess in-depth knowledge of the full menu.
13. Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in meeting targets related to labour and food costs.
