Job Opportunity:
An exciting role has become available for an Associate Legal Counsel, responsible for managing Company Secretariat filings and compliance.
This position will work closely with the business to advise on a broad range of legal issues in a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage Company Secretariat filings and compliance requirements for Irish and international matters.
* Advise on general data queries, data subject access requests, data breaches, data processing agreements, and general data protection queries.
* Evaluate intellectual property activities, including new developments and trade mark proposals, and advise on ownership, use, and potential infringement activities.
* Review, draft, and negotiate day-to-day legal agreements, including confidentiality agreements and terms and conditions.
* Advise generally on corporate legal matters, including shareholder matters, regulatory issues, and assist with on-going updates to company policies and developing training materials for the business.
* Co-ordination and execution of legal documents generally, assisting in preparing documents for meetings and managing the case management system for the legal team.
Requirements:
* Third-level Law or Business degree.
* Professional Qualification (Solicitor or Company Secretary).
* Minimum of 1 year's+ experience as a qualified solicitor or assistant company secretary either in-house or in a large/mid-tier law firm.
* Experience in a company secretariat in-house team or law firm providing company secretariat services.
* Strong communication skills.
* Broad business knowledge and ability to understand complexities of the organisation's operations and business relationships.
* Strategic thinker who is a capable problem solver.
* Ability to work on own initiative and be motivated to deliver the legal department's value-added agenda.
* Ability to multi-task and use a systematic and analytical approach to identifying issues and problem-solving with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
