Warehouse Manager
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
In a manufacturing setting, this includes managing inventory to ensure production lines are continuously supplied while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Stock Control
Manage and monitor packaging and finished goods inventory (FIFO)
Fulfilment of the production plan - Staging for production.
Coordinate full stock take quarterly and cycle counts monthly, reporting discrepancies to purchasing manager.
Maintain accurate inventory records using the ERP
Reduce stock variances to maintain stock accuracy and report at bi-weekly warehouse meeting and manage discrepancies
Ensure all material movements are accurately recorded in the system.
Participate in all daily warehouse activities, including goods-in/goods-out, put-away, and picking processes.
Ensure efficient layout and storage systems to maximize space and productivity,
Ensure all warehouses are managed to maximize capacity
Aged stock/ slow mover to be rotated
Proactively be solution driven in all areas of warehouse management
Complete warehouse logs for controlling the area
Ensure pallet hygiene at all times
Ensure forklift and manual handling training is up to date for warehousing team
2. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation (e.g., HSA guidelines).
Maintain documentation for inspections and audits (e.g., ISO *****, DAFM and GMP).
Manage hazardous materials in line with REACH and other EU regulations if applicable.
Ensure all activities are compliant with SOPs, if there're is a gap between procedure and the activity, update the procedure or change the activity- upon consultation with quality
3. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics (sales) teams to align warehouse activities with manufacturing schedules.
Coordinate with transport providers/ logistics (sales) team to ensure timely delivery and shipping and communicate missed collection/delivery slots.
4. Systems & Reporting
Produce full stock counts and warehouse mapping reports at bi-weekly warehouse meeting to maximise efficiency.
Identify areas for improvement and lead process improvement projects.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in warehouse management
Strong understanding of inventory control, stock management (FIFO), and warehouse operations (receiving, storage, dispatch).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
