We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our ambulatory care service in Galway.
Job Description
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality haemodialysis care, driving transplant coordination, and managing clinical interventions aligned with the latest evidence-based guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate key elements of the haemodialysis service, including anaemia and bone mineral disorder management.
2. Lead transplant work-up, evaluation, and post-transplant follow-up for eligible patients.
3. Prescribe and manage the Hepatitis B vaccination programme, including titre monitoring and booster protocols.
4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver patient-centred care plans.
5. Analyse and report monthly audit data and clinical metrics for quality assurance.
6. Provide clinical education, specialist advice, and promote health awareness among patients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Registered Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration.
* Postgraduate qualification in Renal Nursing (essential).
* Strong experience working with haemodialysis patients in a clinical setting.
* Confident in clinical decision-making, nurse prescribing, and working independently.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Fully eligible to work in Ireland.
