Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team in Waterford, Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance of the factory building and its surrounding premises, as well as production plant service including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate maintenance of the factory building and its surrounding premises
* Manage production plant service including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services
* Act as point of contact for vendors, contractors, and sales representatives for the plant and facilities works in general
* Liaise with in-house cleaning contractor to ensure cleaning standards are maintained and service contract requirements met across the whole site
* Ensure all site and grounds maintenance is completed in line with contract and site expectations
* Maintain management and presentation of records on all facilities related tasks/operations to meet auditing requirements for both internal/external auditors, customers, and corporate representatives as requested
* Coordinate all site facility activity in conjunction with full implementation and adherence to all Environmental Health and Safety department standards and technical requirements
* Participate/lead/own MMCR, CAPA, PCF, NCE as requested and required to meet QA/Ops site requirements
Requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of plant systems, preferably in medical device/pharmaceutical industry
* Experience of working with preventative maintenance system
* Systematic troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
* Good communication skill and ability to work well on own initiative
* Experience of compressed air, air handling, fire prevention, building management, and industrial water systems
* Ability to read P&IDs/schematics
Qualifications:
* Senior Trades Electrical/Mechanical essential
* Degree in Engineering or related discipline advantageous
* 5+ years' experience in facilities or related role essential
* Experience of working in medical device/pharmaceutical environment advantageous
