Procurement and Stock Control Specialist

About the Role:
* Creating and tracking purchase orders, resolving non-conformance, and managing shipments efficiently.
* Collaborating with Sales & Operations to proactively prevent stock-outs and optimize inventory levels.
* Analysing supply and demand to forecast inventory needs and avoid shortages or excess.
* Maintaining inventory levels against agreed targets and ensuring compliance with purchasing and stock control SOPs.
* Supporting colleagues with workload balance and providing holiday/sickness cover when needed.
* Partnering with warehouse teams to ensure smooth stock-taking with minimal disruption.
* Investigating and resolving supply chain issues such as shortages, discrepancies, and overstock.
* Producing regular reports and insights to drive improvement and enhance business performance.
* Participating in continuous improvement projects across Operations and Supply Chain to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
* 3+ years' experience in procurement, stock control, supply chain, or a related field with a proven track record of success.
* Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel ability (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and data analysis techniques.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and with vendors to build effective relationships.
* A proactive problem solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
* Familiarity with inventory management software and electronic ordering systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
