Overview
As part of a recently awarded ticketing project, Indra is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in the planning, design and implementation of financial management services, robust financial governance and control, and to provide strategic financial insights to senior management and project stakeholders. The role reports directly to the Indra Ireland Senior Finance Manager and works closely with the Implementation Services Manager (Project Manager).
Key Responsibilities
* Support the production and delivery of high‑quality finance documentation, including financial design and proposals for presentation to the Indra Senior Finance Manager, project team and client stakeholders.
* Track and manage finance dependencies and deliverables across project workstreams, monitoring all financial risks and dependencies with timely communication to the Senior Finance Manager.
* Communicate clearly with multiple client project stakeholders and the Indra Senior Finance Manager to ensure that all aspects of financial planning, design and implementation are incorporated.
* Ensure compliance of payment channels with Payment Card Industry data security standards.
* Design payments controls and outputs for the new ticketing scheme, obtaining appropriate client approval and working closely with the Indra Senior Finance Manager.
* Coordinate with internal and external teams to define, plan and deliver all finance aspects of the ticketing solutions control and reporting.
* Oversee all revenue streams, including revenue collection, clearing and debt collection recovery.
* Conduct risk assessment and maintain robust internal control systems, ensuring policies and procedures are up to date.
* Assist in the implementation of payment fraud and risk management services.
* Establish a Fixed Asset Register and support client operational processes, procedures and services in accordance with client policies.
* Manage project cost, budgeting and planning, monitoring baseline versus actual costs.
* Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including Project Board reporting.
* Develop and report high‑quality financial management reports, analyses and key performance indicators to Indra management.
* Act as the trusted point of contact for the client, contractors and sub‑contractors, managing cash collection and designing financial incident management reporting.
Person Specification
* Professional accountancy qualification and membership of a recognised body of accountants.
* Minimum 5 years’ finance experience, with at least 1 year in a senior financial accountant or finance business partner role within an MNC, banking or payments industry.
* Experience delivering multiple interdependent workstreams and projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong internal control systems and effect effective financial management in complex environments.
* Commercial acumen and familiarity with project financial management.
* Knowledge of revenue collection activities, data analytics and financial modelling.
* Flexible and adaptable, thriving in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
* Understanding of public sector accounting or public transport ticketing technology, or ability to acquire such knowledge quickly.
* Experience working in a high‑volume transaction environment.
* Knowledge of corporate governance and State Body Governance Code.
* Understanding of payment processing, including API tools, payment channels, fraud and risk management.
* Experience in contract management.
* Analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, proactive problem solving, service orientation, time management, adaptability to change.
