An established accountancy organisation is seeking a part qualified or newly qualified accountant to join its busy accounts team in Co. Westmeath. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality services to clients, while also contributing to the continued growth of the firm.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Your New Job
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Audit Exempt Companies
* Managing the preparation and timely submission of Personal Tax (Income Tax) and Corporation Tax returns
* Overseeing the preparation and filing of VAT returns, VAT RTDs, PAYE, Payroll, and RCT returns
* Providing proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients, ensuring compliance with Irish tax legislation
* Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and supporting their development where appropriate
* Ensuring timely and accurate filing of Companies Office returns (company secretarial experience is an advantage)
* Supporting audit queries and liaising with Revenue as needed
What Are We Looking For?
* ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified
* Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an Irish practice environment
* Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and Irish taxation
* Proficient in Excel, Word, and Revenue Online Service (ROS)
* Experience managing client relationships and handling a broad client portfolio
* Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently
* Experience with CRO returns and company secretarial duties would be an advantage
