Healthcare Support Specialist
The Care Assistant plays a vital role in delivering person-centred care to residents.
* Supporting nursing staff and team members in providing high-quality care
* Building strong relationships with residents, understanding their interests and needs, and offering support and companionship
* Promoting mobility and assisting residents in achieving optimal physical comfort
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing personal care and hygiene support while maintaining dignity and respect
* Assisting with eating and drinking, ensuring the physical comfort of residents
* Participating in social activities and fostering effective communication between residents and their families
Maintaining cleanliness, health and safety, and contributing to upkeep are essential duties.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent, experience working in healthcare environments, excellent communication skills, empathetic approach, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and fluency in English.
