Job Opportunity:
The Senior Construction Professional will play a vital role in delivering exceptional technical outcomes to clients by embracing innovative construction methods, cutting-edge technologies, sustainable materials, and forward-thinking building techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting out using advanced surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS technology.
* Establishing and maintaining procedures with the design team, client, and subcontractors for effective information flow, approvals, meetings, and reporting.
* Recording daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in the site management system.
* Conducting work in a safe manner and reporting any deviations from safety protocols.
* Complying with established ISO company procedures.
* Reporting to the management team on project schedules and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and building standards.
* Undertaking surveys and verifying that engineering details are being adhered to on-site.
* Supervising subcontractors and inspecting the quality of their work.
* Conducting document reviews, scheduling, and attending site meetings to ensure overall compliance with the project schedule.
* Providing regular updates to the Project Manager and senior management team on all aspects of engineering related to the project.
* Managing and providing training to junior staff and engineers.
* Ensuring adherence to agreed construction methods, particularly those related to Quality Assurance and Health & Safety.
* Overseeing project closure, including securing warranties, guarantees, and acceptance of work, as well as closing out subcontractor and vendor agreements, and submitting as-built documentation.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Engineering degree required.
* Proficiency in construction techniques and competence in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and temporary works.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent IT skills with expertise in MS Office and CAD software.
* A good understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to Irish construction sites.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Full Irish driving license.
