Head of IT Transformation opportunity with a healthcare organisation based in South Dublin. This is a senior leadership role with ownership of digital platform strategy, software engineering and data / analytics across a complex, highly regulated environment.
This is a key appointment focused on building scalable platforms and internal capability, enabling long‑term digital transformation across clinical and operational systems. The role partners closely with the CIO and wider executive team.
Responsibilities
Define and deliver the digital platform, application and data strategies
Technical leadership across architecture, platform design and development standards
Identify and implement opportunities for AI and automation
Oversee data platforms and drive adoption of predictive analytics
Embed security, data protection and compliance (GDPR, NIS2) into platforms and development processes
Provide technical leadership into solution design and architecture
Own budget and resource planning across platforms, development and analytics
Experience
10+ years in Software Engineering / platform architecture with experience at Head of / Director level
Experience leading Data and/or Software Engineering teams using Agile, DevOps and CI/CD.
Experience developing and/or implementing AI automation and advanced analytics solutions
Experience working with enterprise systems and integrations
Strong IT Programme and Project Management background
Understanding of hospital operations / EHRs is desirable
