Talent & Engagement Specialist
We’re seeking an ambitious and detail-focused Talent & Engagement Specialist to join a dynamic HR team within a regulated financial services environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for a CIPD-qualified HR professional with 2–3 years’ experience in banking, insurance, or financial services, who enjoys recruitment but wants to broaden their remit across employee engagement and wider HR projects.
You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process, partner closely with business leaders, and play a key role in delivering meaningful engagement initiatives that help shape culture and performance. There’s a clear pathway for progression with this role and it is hybrid 2 days onsite.
What You’ll Do
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
* Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial briefing to onboarding, ensuring all activity is accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory standards.
* Partner with stakeholders to define role requirements, develop job descriptions, and manage campaign delivery (internal, external, and agency-led).
* Confidently hold hiring managers accountable for timely decisions and high-quality processes.
* Ensure all recruitment activity meets the standards expected within a regulated financial services environment.
* Manage agency relationships and report regularly on recruitment KPIs and hiring metrics.
* Continuously review and improve recruitment systems and processes to enhance candidate and stakeholder experience.
Employee Engagement
* Support the delivery and analysis of annual engagement and pulse surveys, turning insights into actionable outcomes.
* Coordinate engagement, DE&I, wellbeing, and recognition programmes, ensuring visibility and participation.
* Partner with HR colleagues on the design and measurement of engagement initiatives, with an eye on ROI and business impact.
* Use HR systems (SuccessFactors, SharePoint, Strandum, Excel, Teams) for reporting, analysis, and communication.
Requirements:
* CIPD qualified (or working towards it), with 2–3 years’ HR or talent acquisition experience.
* Experience within financial services, banking, or insurance is essential — with a clear understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance expectations.
* Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable influencing and holding others accountable.
* Excellent attention to detail and process discipline.
* Analytical mindset — confident using data and metrics to inform decisions.
* Ambitious, curious, and eager to grow into a broader HR role.
* Confident communicator — proactive, professional, and unafraid to use your voice.
