Procurement Specialist Opportunity
We're seeking a highly skilled procurement specialist to take ownership of our procurement function, drive cost-efficiency and supplier excellence.
1. Take ownership of the procurement function: improve, streamline, and modernise how we source materials and services.
2. Drive cost-efficiency through data-led supplier analysis, negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
3. Foster supplier excellence: develop robust partnerships with vendors and lead supplier performance reviews.
4. Enhance procurement systems: identify process inefficiencies and lead improvements, especially using tools like Sage Professional.
5. Collaborate across departments to anticipate procurement needs and deliver timely, budget-friendly solutions.
6. Lead stock, tool, and fleet management with precision and accountability.
7. Monitor and optimise hired plant and equipment for cost-effectiveness and availability.
About You
1. Proven procurement experience—bonus if it's in mechanical, engineering, or construction sectors.
2. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead improvements, and implement process changes.
3. Commercial acumen with strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
4. Experience using procurement or ERP systems (Sage Professional preferred).
5. A problem-solver who thrives on autonomy, owns their workload, and delivers results.
