Homework Club Assistant Job Description

Are you passionate about education and community development? Do you have a knack for working with children and families?

This role involves working as a Homework Club Assistant to provide support to primary and secondary school students from Direct Provision Hostels. The successful candidate will work closely with the Homework Club Coordinator to develop a community-based homework club that caters to the needs of these students.

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating homework sessions, providing one-on-one support to students, and developing educational activities to promote learning and engagement.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar working environment is essential.
* Experience of working with and supporting disadvantaged children.
* Knowledge of afterschool/homework club settings.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be sensitive to the needs of young people.

Strong communication and organizational skills are also essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the Primary School Curriculum and behaviour management techniques.
