The role blendscommercial leasing, brand partnerships, corporate governance, and regulatory oversight, with real influence over strategic decisions.Key responsibilitiesLead and develop the local legal function, owning performance and prioritiesDraft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts, including brand, leasing, services, and marketing agreementsSupport commercialisation and leasing activity, working closely with senior stakeholders and external counselAdvise the business on EU, national, and local legal and regulatory changesProvide pragmatic legal guidance across retail, marketing, operations, finance, and construction mattersManage legal risk, including insolvency-related issues and potential disputesOversee brand compliance, audits, and post-contractual obligationsSupport corporate governance matters (board materials, powers of attorney, corporate transactions)Advise on IP protection, data protection compliance, and insurance mattersControl external legal spend and manage relationships with external advisorsAbout youYou'll be a commercially minded legal professional who enjoys being close to the business and influencing outcomes.Qualified lawyer in the local jurisdictionTypically 5 + years' post-qualification experienceStrong background in commercial contracts and marketing lawConfident negotiator with sound commercial judgementAble to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical adviceComfortable influencing senior stakeholders independentlyStrong drafting skills and attention to detail
