Senior Civil Engineer (Client-Side) – Contract Opportunity | North Dublin
We are supporting a leading integrated energy business in Ireland as they continue to expand their renewable generation portfolio. With a strong focus on sustainability and infrastructure delivery, they are developing a cluster of solar projects requiring associated substation and road infrastructure works.
They are now seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join on a 12-month day-rate contract, based in North Dublin, to represent the client across key phases of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the client-side civil engineering lead
Oversee the design, coordination, and delivery of substation infrastructure and associated roadworks
Manage and interface with design consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and method statements
Monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards
Support project planning, scheduling, and risk management activities
Ensure all works are delivered in line with regulatory and environmental requirements
Key Requirements:
Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Strong background in substation works, utilities, or renewable energy projects
Experience with road design, access routes, and site infrastructure development
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced project environment
12-month initial contract (with potential for extension)
Day rate (competitive, dependent on experience)
North Dublin-based role (site presence required)
