Job Overview:
To guarantee the optimal functioning of our plumbing and mechanical systems, we require a skilled Maintenance Plumber to perform repairs, maintenance, and installations of primary plumbing systems including Heating and hot water systems, Domestic plumbing fixtures, Mains water connections and distribution, and Internal and external drainage.
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and demands a high level of technical knowledge and expertise. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing and mechanical systems and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure all plumbing systems are in good working order
* Carry out repairs and installations to all primary plumbing systems, including Heating and hot water systems, Domestic plumbing fixtures, Mains water connections and distribution, and Internal and external drainage
* Check plant equipment daily to prevent breakdowns and ensure effective use
* Collaborate with other teams to support water sampling collections and provide escorted services as required
* Provide on-call support to the facility after hours, as needed
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience as a Plumber and hold recognised crafts grades qualifications at senior trade or equivalent level. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, wide knowledge of plumbing and Mechanical systems, and experience working with Copper, Marley, ABS and Chemical resistant pipework.
