Role overview
U Value Installation is experiencing significant growth.
We are delighted to announce we are expanding our team, searching for a dedicated project manager to assist in driving our success in the rapidly growing installation division.
This role requires regular attendance at sites throughout the life cycle of multiple projects, overseeing the day-to-day high-quality standard of work, the performance of site operatives, ensuring output is constantly maintained whilst meeting Health and Safety standards.
Regular site meetings with main contractors is a main element of the role.
This role also requires limited time at our head office, meeting key team members.
Projects vary from domestic housing upgrades to large scale commercial, residential and educational projects.
The role contributes to the commercial, financial management and profitable performance of the business.
Responsibilities
Attending bi-weekly meetings to report progress and staffing issues.
Overseeing site progress whilst monitoring output on all aspects of works underway.
Monitoring and reporting on wastage, developing ways of reducing waste and supporting the QA Manager in recording daily QA platform.
Ensuring the correct products are used in accordance with the specifications.
Reviewing drawings against works being carried out to ensure the scope of works is maintained.
Regularly communicating with all relevant team members any changes/variations of works.
Ensuring variations on dayworks are captured and agreed in writing with the Main Contractor.
Attending regular health and safety meetings with Main Contractors and ensuring works are being carried out in accordance with Health and Safety procedures.
Alongside key team leads, being involved in all pre-construction planning aspects.
Providing regular assistance to Surveyors, Coordinators and Site Operatives to ensure materials and equipment are in place prior to commencing and a weekly materials look-ahead is provided to the site Coordinator.
Ensuring tools are kept in good order and reporting any losses, damages or thefts to the Construction Coordinator.
Attending appointments.
Compiling site-specific method statements and risk assessments to Main Contractors for approval prior to commencing works.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to lead significant installation projects, working with the existing installation team, reporting to the Installation Manager.
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman in Insulation, drylining, construction, fit-out or related sectors.
Strong understanding of installation workflows and site operations.
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of Health & Safety compliance and regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA, Safe Pass).
