Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day regional operations and administration functions of the regional contracting division, ensuring the region runs smoothly and efficiently in accordance with the company's policies, processes, and procedures.This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic operational leader to drive regional performance, manage budgets, develop teams, and strengthen client relationships across the East of England region.Key ResponsibilitiesRegional ManagementWork with the Consulting Regional Lead to provide timely and accurate regional planner information to the Operations DirectorCollate, maintain and provide regional BI and KPI information including pipeline, WIP, SLA, invoice projections and forecastingHold weekly meetings with regional project managers to understand caseload, identify problems and ensure effective project deliveryManage regional client, homeowner, and contractor complaints, escalating to the Operations Director where necessaryManage regional budgets to accurately project cash flows and effectively manage regional financesIdentify and highlight potential areas to improve financial efficienciesEnsure administration tasks within the contracting division are completed routinely and on timeAct decisively to cover emergency works and customer complaints, keeping all parties informedHealth and SafetyConsider health and safety during all stages of a project lifecycleEnsure staff work in a safe manner and observe the company's health, safety and environmental rules and proceduresSet an example of safe behaviour, particularly to new starters and junior staffStaff ManagementManage staff to maximise productivity, chargeability and efficiency through proactive management, mentoring and trainingHighlight resource availability or shortages to the Operations DirectorProvide technical support to regional and technical leads with project reviews and technical issuesDeliver staff training and mentoring to ensure works are completed in accordance with quality systems and standard operating proceduresAuthorise staff purchase orders to provide spend control and enable project deliveryEnsure all contracting staff are appropriately trained and competent to fulfil their job rolesReview and identify opportunities for improvement through increased staff trainingCommercial SkillsDemonstrate financial and market awareness, guiding staff to save costs and improve company competitivenessStrengthen and maintain client relationships to ensure successful continuance of business operations regionallyProactively fulfil client development duties and manage, develop and understand client requirementsInstil SEED core values and establish a culture of continuous business improvementInfluence and promote collaboration between consulting, contracting and financial departmentsCommunicate effectively with consulting Operations Director and Group Quality and Compliance Manager to deliver operational excellenceSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseEssential RequirementsProven experience in regional operations management within contracting or construction environmentsStrong financial acumen with budget management experienceExcellent leadership and people management skillsAbility to demonstrate self-starting ability and inspire teamsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse and interpret challenges effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with teams, senior management, subcontractors and clientsAbility to organise, plan ahead and prioritise work effectivelyExperience managing operational changes based on sound planning and resource managementDesirableExperience in insurance restoration or environmental services sectorUnderstanding of health and safety compliance in contracting environmentsTrack record of business development and client relationship managementWhat We're Looking ForWe seek a dynamic and results-driven leader who can manage complex regional operations while maintaining strong relationships with clients and teams.
